De Zeven Guest Lodge | Perfect View, Sunrise & Silence | Franschoek

This is our favorite Guest Lodge so far. It is just perfect in order to discover the wine rgeion around Stellebosch and Franschoek. The service, the beautuful view and the fact that you only hear the nature are perfect for some very relaxed days. You are in the midle of the vinelands overlooking the valley with great sunrises. You can walk to Tokara and Delaire Graff Estate. Other vineyards are just some mintues drive.

AA Badenhorst Family Vines | Swartland | Beautiful Vine Yard & Accomodiation

This vineyard is located 1 hour drive from Cape Town. Surrounded by beautiful nature on the foot of the Paardenberg Mountain.

AA Badenhorst Family Wines are grown, made and matured on Kalmoesfontein farm in the Swartland appellation of South Africa. Adi - the owner - loves to make wines the traditional way. 180ha of old bushvines grow in the Siebritskloof part of the Paardeberg mountain.

Expect a humble, rural retreat, where you can enjoy wide-open spaces and fresh air, explore old vine vineyards, swim in the dams and expect the most spectacular sunsets and views. If you have the time stay here for a few days and enjoy an authentic farm hideaway.

Porterville | Snacks & Coffee, Art & Fashion | 150km from Cape Town

A very sweet village 150km from Cape Town. We stopped by on our way from Leopard Valley to Franschoek. There is a small coffe which also offers art from the sister of the owner and delicious drinsk and snacks. As they do not really want to be found and are fine with their local community, there is no google entry or anything. Click for above for "more".
