Oranjezicht Market | Best Market & good alternative to the Neighbourgoods Market | Every Thursday and Sunday

The Oranjezicht Market in Cape Town, close to the stadium and Waterfront, is a farmer style market. It was a nice view on the harbour and a very realxed vibe. There are many food offers and you can get homemade soap, sustainable clothes, selfmade pesto and more from local producer.

Click here for more information around a day at the Oranjezicht Market.

Neighbourgoods Market | Food, Drinks, Music, Good Vibes | Old Biscuit Mill, Woodstock

The Neighbourgoods Market at Old Biscuit Mill is more or less an institution on saturday's in Cape Town.  The location at the old mill is special with a historical charme. The vibe is relaxed, but a bit more busy than Oranjezicht Market. People are dancing to music having a drink and starting the saturday.

3D - Contemporary Township Artist | Nathan Chikoto Recycle Artist | Bo-Kaap

Nathan works with recycled materials and turns discarded plastic, tin cans and all sorts of found objects to create rich and many layered and textured cityscapes like this triptych of Cape Town, South Africa. The attention to detail is incredible and you have to see his work to really appreciate the 3 dimensional effect. His piece are a labour of love, created over many months, but Nathan is reluctant to sell it until he feels it is complete.

One of the most beautiful beaches | Llandudno | Cape Town

From our view this is the prefect spot for a relaxed day at the beach. Of course Llandudno is not a secret spot anymore. However, due to the beach set-up it still has very relaxed vibe surrounded by large rocks and windless spots, where you can chill and watch the surfers.

Recommendation: Come early as there are no many parking lots.

Kommetjie | A relaxed village with a beautiful beach | Cape Town

Kommetjie is very relaxed. Not many tourist go here. The beach is beautiful and there are some nice restaurants in the small village center.

For us Kommetjie is the perfect place - next to Scarborough - for the first accomodation. Here you can recover from a long flight and start slowely into your holidays.
